PLANS for the development of a £50 million leisure and residential scheme at Seaway car park have been sealed by Southend Council.
The authority has announced a deal with Turnstone Estates that will create 450 new jobs in the Borough.
The proposals will see land near the seafront, at Lucy Road, turn into a ten screen cinema, 11 restaurants and 99 apartments.
An additional 480 space multi storey car park is also planned to replace the current 453 spaces at the site.
Turnstone Estates has pre-let the first three units to The Restaurant Group, which operates the Coast to Coast, Frankie and Benny's and Chiquitos restaurants.
